Concarneau shipbuilding and repair port
Naval and maritime excellence at the service of shipowners and the territory
A 17-hectare port concession on both banks of the Moros
Operated since January 2021 by CARENCO (Carénage Concarnois), which joins the subsidiary of CCIMBO (INSFO) and Semcar (Société d’exploitation des moyens de carénages), the historical operators, Concarneau port has been owned by Brittany Region since 2017. CARENCO manages and operates Concarneau port’s shipbuilding and repair facilities and also manages the assets of the public port domain of the concession, which covers 17 hectares on both sides of the Moros.
On the strength of its experience and in support of a coherent investment policy backed by the Brittany Region, Concarneau port is aiming for sustainable economic development. This ambition is based on optimising infrastructure, on the energy transition and respect for the environment, to offer shipowners and port users an increasingly efficient service that evolves with the times.
Concarneau is the only port owned by the Brittany Region that has a 2,000-tonne-capacity boat lift, a 400-tonne-capacity sling hoist in its ship repair area in line with environmental standards, and a 130-metre dry dock complying with the strictest environmental standards. Thanks to this infrastructure, the synergy and complementary nature of the local businesses and know-how of its professionals, Concarneau port is able to offer tailor-made services for a large variety of vessels.
